I have taught at the university level for many years and recently retired. I miss the stimulus of interaction and working with students. I greatly enjoy the satisfaction of helping students achieve their goals. I have taught many writing classes focusing on general writing skills and rewriting essays to university level quality. I have helped many PhD students organize and improve their dissertations. A highlight of my teaching career was a Semester At Sea with the University of Virginia sailing around the world with 730 college students. We learned about temples, churches, historical sites and then actually visited them.
